A chilled polish style sour cream sauce with thinly sliced cucumbers.

Grocery List
  • 1 lb cucumber (2 medium or 1 large)
  • 4 oz sour cream
  • 1 1/2 tbsp vinegar
  • Dry Ingredients
  • 2 tsp
  • 1/2 + (1/2 seperated) tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Morton's Nature's Seasoning
  • For Garnishing
  • 1 tsp dill (fresh or chopped)
In the Kitchen
  1. Rinse and dry your cucumbers.

  2. Peel and slice cucumbers thinly.

  3. Place in a mixing bowl and sprinkle with ½ teaspoon salt.

  4. Set it aside in the fridge and let stand for at least 10-15 minutes.

  5. Press and drain excess water from cucumbers and set aside.

  6. In a separate mixing bowl combine sour cream, vinegar and remaining dry ingredients.

    Combine well.
  7. Toss with cucumbers.

    Coat evenly.
  8. Cover and let chill in the fridge.

    At least 30 minutes before serving.
  9. Refrigerate leftovers immediately in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Note
  • You can use the sour cream mixture as a vegetable dip, salad dressing or gyro sauce
