Grocery List
  • 2 baking potatoes
  • 4 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1/2 tsp parsley (fresh or dry)
  • 4 dash paprika (garnish potatoes before baking)
  • Dry Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp Morton's Nature's Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • If making Cheese and Bacon flavored potatoes
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1/4 cup bacon bits
  • If making Sour Cream and Chive flavored potatoes
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 2 tbsp chives or green onions (chopped)
  • If making Fully Loaded flavored potatoes
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1/4 cup bacon bits
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 2 tbsp chives or green onions (chopped)
In the Kitchen
  1. Rinse and dry your potatoes. 

  2. Pierce with a fork to keep potatoes from cracking in the microwave.

  3. Cook potatoes in the microwave. Most microwaves have a potato setting.

    If you don’t have one here is the general rule of thumb for potatoes in the microwave; 6 - 7 minutes for 1 potato 9 - 11 minutes for 2. Cooking times will vary.
  4. Remove from the microwave. 

    Caution: they will be hot.
  5. Slice potatoes once long ways down the middle to get two halves. 

    Let cool for 10 – 15 minutes.
  6. Place all potato centers in a medium-mixing bowl. 

    Leave enough potato (1/4 inch) inside; making potato skin bowls.
  7. Place all potato centers in a medium-mixing bowl.
  8. Add melted butter, parsley and dry ingredients.

  9. Using a fork or potato masher mix potatoes until smooth and mixed well together.

    If making a *flavored potato add the required ingredients now and mix well into the potato filling.
  10. Distribute filling equally into potato skins.

    Once the potato skins have been filled generously sprinkle paprika over the tops of potatoes.
  11. Place onto an ungreased baking sheet. 

  12. Preheat the oven to 400F.

  13. Place into the oven on the middle rack.

  14. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes or until potatoes are hot in center (check with toothpick) and browned on top.

  15. Remove the baking sheet from the oven.

    Garnish and serve immediately. Potatoes will be very hot. 
  16. Refrigerate leftovers immediately in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Note
  • CAREFUL when scooping out the potatoes. Try to not breaking the skins.
