In the Kitchen

Remove the stem from tomatoes.

Dice your tomatoes into small pieces on a cutting board.
Smaller cut tomatoes allow for flavor to coat more of the tomato as well as make it easier to eat. -
Toss diced tomatoes into a medium mixing bowl.

Peel and then mince the garlic clove on a cutting board.

After mincing, hold your knife carefully sideways and use the flat side to press down and crush your garlic.
Or you can also use a garlic press. -
Add garlic, basil, oil, salt, nature's seasoning, onion and pepper to the mixing bowl with the tomatoes.

Mix tomatoes well to evenly coat with oil, garlic and seasonings.
Set aside bruschetta in the fridge, covered, if not using immediately.
Garlic Herb Toast

Preheat your oven to 400*F

- Add oil to a small mixing bowl.
Set aside. -
Peel and then finely mince the garlic cloves on a cutting board.
After mincing, hold your knife carefully sideways and use the flat side to press down and crush your garlic. You can also use a garlic press. -
Add oil in a mixing bowl.

Chop your parsley finely.
-
Combine oil, garlic, rosemary, Nature's Seasoning and parsley in a small bowl.

Mix and set herb oil aside for use in later steps.

- Now slice bread into ½ inch slices at a 45* angle
Cut 6 - 10 slices -
Arrange bread on a baking sheet or pizza sheet.

Grab your herb oil mixture and use a spoon or cooking brush to coat bread evenly on one side.

Once all the pieces are coated, place the sheet into the oven.

Bake your herb toast 5 - 8 minutes at 400*F
Bread should be crispy and brown on the edges. -
Remove cookie sheet or pan from oven.
Using oven mitts. -
Let cool for 5 - 10 minutes before plating.

Place bread on a plate with the herb side up.
You can add a cheese spread or slice of cheese to the bread. -
Place a spoonful of bruschetta on each piece of herb toast and spread evenly.
You are ready to serve and ENJOY! -
Refrigerate leftovers immediately in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

sliced mild cheese (such as provolone or mozzarella)
- Try adding bruschetta to a chicken or pork for a great new flavor.
- Cheese spread or sliced cheese both work great as a herb toast topper.
